Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer XPeng has officially launched the P7+ in China, introducing the world’s first AI-powered vehicle.
“The model delivers premium quality with advanced AI-driven technology, elevating the intelligent driving and smart cockpit experience through state-of-the-art AI architecture,” XPeng said.
At the launch, XPeng’s president and CEO said that “in traditional cars, premium is often defined by design and features, but in the era of AI-defined vehicles, true premium quality is inseparable from intelligent technology.”

Available in three variants, the P7+ has the Long Range Max variant priced at around $26,000, the Ultra-Long Range Max priced at $27,800, and the Limited Edition Max priced at $30,600.
The entry-level variant packs a 60.7 kWh lithium-phosphate battery that offers a range (CLTC) of 602 km. However, XPeng says that the initial range can be increased to 615 km after a system update, which will be available next month.
The other two variants use a similar battery but with 76.3 kWh with a CLTC range of 710 km and 685 km. Following next month’s software update, these variants should also see a slight increase in range.
“P7+” is the first vehicle in the world to have built-in advanced “ADAS” which is completely powered by artificial intelligence.
“AI Hawkeye” includes two cameras, millimeter-wave radars and ultrasonic radars, which provide clear, precise and extended vision, allowing the P7+ to work efficiently in different lighting and weather conditions.
Considering that it is a hybrid SUV, “P7+” has a length of 5,056 mm and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. Also, the company said that the “P7+” uses the thinnest battery in the world (only 109 mm).
