Karma Invictus Revero limited edition front view

Karma Automotive is often “under the radar”, but this company has now presented the new Invictus model. It is a variant of the Revero sedan, which is focused on performance.

Although the car resembles Fisker’s Karma model, which was introduced almost 15 years ago, Invictus has given it an aggressive carbon makeover. As you can see, the sedan gets a carbon fiber hood, and the same goes for the roof and trunk lid. The new front fenders are made of the same material, and feature functional air vents above the wheels.

Carbon fiber was used to create the front fascia, side skirts, rear spoiler and diffuser. The car has black markings and 21-inch alloy wheels with slightly wider Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

Changes to the interior are more modest, but the front seats have heating and cooling functions, while they are decorated with a decorative pattern inspired by the skyscraper Chrysler Building in New York. The same pattern is on the door panels and center console. The name of the model is embroidered in the headrests, and there are anodized aluminum plates on the door sills.

Given the fact that the Invictus is based on the third-generation Revera, it received an electric drive with a range extender, which consists of a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, a battery with a capacity of 28 kWh and two electric motors. The combined power is 543 hp and 745 Nm of torque, while using only the electric drive, the sedan can travel up to 129 kilometers.

Although the drive seems to be taken over and intact, the acceleration is still better, so that the Invictus accelerates to “hundred” in less than four seconds. The reason could be less mass, as well as improved grip.

The suspension has been upgraded and includes Ohlins shock absorbers and Swift springs. The steering is “more direct and precise”, the grip is noticeably better in turns and on uneven surfaces.

Production is limited to 30 copies, but there are no delivery dates yet.
