A beautiful example of the Mercedes-Benz 560SEC is up for auction in the US, and it looks like the final price will be quite high.
The car was completely restored at the Bespoke Orange County workshop, which specializes in classic Mercedes models. As part of the car’s transformation, carbon fender extensions were installed and painted in Smoke silver metallic color.
Also, the car received bumpers in the AMG style, as well as door sills made of carbon fiber. The three-piece 17-inch rims are also eye-catching.
Under the hood is a rebuilt 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine taken from the latest Mercedes-AMG model. A stainless steel exhaust system is also installed, and the engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Power is sent to the rear wheels via this gearbox and limited slip differential.
Bespoke Orange County also worked on the interior, which is covered in beige leather, which actually extends to the seats and door panels. There are also many wooden details, and there is also a McIntosh MX406 system with a Focal amplifier and 11 new Focal speakers. The chassis has traveled 66,000 kilometers.
How much the transformation cost was not disclosed. The car is being sold at auction, and the highest bid at the time of publication was $275,000.
